Vintage Pink Champagne Cake

I soo should have lived in the 1950's! Not only were the dresses AMAZING, but the desserts weren't bad, either! The champagne makes the cake super moist, and makes the buttercream super yummy. Strawberries garnish the top of the cake, and white chocolate shavings garnish the sides. I'll make this one again for sure. Plus, you're left with half a bottle of champagne just sitting there...waiting. ;)

Just Peachy!

This is my first homemade peach pie! The peaches are macerated in cinnamon and brown sugar. I felt like such a southern belle!

China Star Garden #3

My third attempt at a birthday cake for my grandmother. At least we're headed in the right direction here! This is a yellow cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries in the middle. The cake is iced in a homemade vanilla buttercream. The border is piped whipped cream.

Susanna's Birthday Cake

Little Susie's all grown up and legal...I can't believe it.
This is a yellow cake with a raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting. Sugar cookies are decorated with color flow icing to look like margaritas, and modeling chocolate is shaped to look like limes. Yum!

Bunny Cakes

I really wanted to come up with my own buttercream recipe, and after playing around with it for a while, I finally have one. This frosting has lots of vanilla and a little heavy cream to make it extra creamy. Edible bunnies don't hurt...

Cinnamon Crumb Cake Ice Cream

Inspired by the amazing ice cream we had in Charleston, this is a cinnamon ice cream with small pieces of crumb cake throughout.
